British Icons | British Culture Month
Dear students,
This week, your task will be related to British culture but, instead of speaking about countries, we will be focusing on their people and the things they have created.
Britain is home to many popular figures from every sphere of life - actors, musicians, writers, footballers... And many popular characters as well (think Sherlock Holmes, Mr. Bean, Harry Potter...).
Your task is to think of a British icon (real or fake, dead or alive) that you might find inspiring or someone that is important to you or is doing something that you would like to do in the future. In summary, someone you would like your peers to know. In order to present that character to them, we will each create a magazine to introduce said icon. Here is an example:
British Culture Magazine - Jane Austen (teacher's example)
Read British Culture Magazine - Jane Austen (teacher's example) by Miriam Toucedo Vila on Issuu and browse thousands of other publications on our p...
It is important that you make your presentation/document a vertical one, as we will be gathering the various publications and joining them in order to make a collaborative magazine with everyone's contributions.
See you in the classroom,
Miriam
